Hi. Hola. Whats up.

I’m David Vargas.

A newly Chicago-based creative who spends most of his time telling stories through art direction, motion, and video, and the rest chasing my toddler.

Over the past decade, I’ve helped brands like OLAPLEX, JLO Beauty, SkinMedica, and Rimmel London find their look and motion language. I’ve also led production and directed large-scale shoots for KOSAS, Diamond Glow, and Ole Henriksen, proving I can bring big ideas to life without losing the details or my cool.

I feel my best when I’m guiding the vibe of a campaign, from moodboards and motion tests to the final cut, making sure everything feels effortless.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me running the lakefront (if it’s above 40°), exploring Chicago with my husband and daughter, or pretending I’m not freezing because I am totally not just a FL/CA boy.
